The software entitled ‘Doctor’s Image Desk’ is a Windows based application. In the present scenario, an application software in a hospital includes collecting patient details, storing them in a Database, making a list of the doctors seen by the patient, the treatment and medicines prescribed, the services utilized, and an overall billing procedure. It may be difficult to keep physical records such as x-rays Films, Scan reports etc. If these records are digitally stored then it would be very useful to both the doctors and patients for future reference.Imagine a situation where the hospital happens to get a patient with a rare illness and his/her scans, X-rays and other reports need to be discussed with others. In the software mentioned earlier such a case will not have any bearing or relation to the existing Administrative software already existing in the system. The hospital will need to save these sorts of details for future reference.If the hospital authorities has to check the details of a patient’s past history or it has to be referred to another doctor who is far away, the above mentioned software will not be of great help. Details such as x-ray scans, ECG reports etc has to be saved for future references.

It is in situations such as this that a single application software should be installed that can satisfy both the billing procedures and the above mentioned conditions., i.e.: along with the detailed billing, the patient’s image details should be stored as a single record, both manipulated and non manipulated by the doctors, with the facility of sending the image through the internet to various other doctors for second opinions if necessary. This application deals with storing of patient details including all the x-ray images, ECG etc. The input can be from any external devices as x-rays reader, scanners etc. Images read to this utility can be manipulated and can be edited with markings as line, circles, arrows etc anywhere in the image by the doctors as per their requirement.

The images can be compressed with various compression techniques such as Hoffman’s Compression technique and then can be broadcasted for verification and suggestion by various doctors across the world. .
The main form is a multiple document interface. All the input and output forms are integrated in the main form. The user has an easy access to different forms through menu’s and shortcuts. Patient information is stored into the patient table through Patient form. This form stores patient information such as patient name, address, age etc. Patient imaging outputs such as X-rays, Scan reports, ECG etc are stored in the database. This form also shows all the images related to patient. These images can be subjected to editing. The images that are stored in the database are used for future uses. Doctors can use these images for verification and can also add necessary markings such as line, rectangle, circle, text etc. The editor form is used to edit image .It has additional features such as zooming, rotate, flip etc. We can save the edited image to the database. The image will be added as new image. So the doctor can compare these images. These image can be broadcasted though internet

This software have also generated an entirely new system- Multi Agent System which is a software agent to assist the Users,Doctors and Administrator to access and manage the patients/available doctors details stored in the database . It is a web based application. There will be an authentication process, and after entering the login name and password it verifies whether the user is valid . After submitting the details it goes to a page where there exist options to make appointment with any doctor for local users,where as the same for doctors to view their scheduled appointments.
